The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is providing a loan of up to EUR 6.0 million to the Municipality of Gradacac (Federation of BiH) and Public Utility Company "Komunalac", responsible for water and wastewater services, to be co-financed by grants of up to EUR 3 million from international donors.
Proceeds of the loan will be used towards financing of:
(a) Extension and rehabilitation of water supply pipes;
(b) Replacement of well pumps, reconstruction of reservoirs;
(c) Replacement of the existing asbestos pipes and water mains;
(d) Construction of central reservoirs and pumping stations;
(e) Construction of wastewater collection system.
It is envisaged that more than 100km of water and 20km of wastewater pipes will be newly constructed and/or replaced.
Project Implementation including Procurement and Engineering Supervision will be carried out by the Consortium of Ingenos.Gobiet.GmbH and Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo.
The Consortium shall, inter alia:
(a) advise the Company on procurement strategy;
(b) assist the Company in preparing tender documents and carrying out the procurement
process;
(c) provide full supervisory services during construction in accordance with valid BiH laws
and Red FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
